My video keeps buffering or freezing

Try these first

1. Close other tabs and apps — especially anything else playing video, and cloud backup or file sync running in the background.
2. Turn off your VPN, if you use one. This is the single most common cause we see.
3. Get closer to your router, or plug in with a cable. Wi-Fi through a wall costs more than people expect.

If it is still stuttering, refresh the page. You will rejoin where the class is now and your attendance is not affected.

How much speed you actually need

About 1.5 Mbps keeps the picture stable. Most connections are far quicker than that, which is why the fixes above — freeing up the connection you already have — help more than a faster plan would.

You can check your setup at any time, including before class.
