I'm a CPA in public practice—is this course really for me, or is it more for accountants in other roles?

This course is built specifically around accounting and financial applications. Tommy walks you through real audit scenarios like evaluating risk for a new fine dining client, analyzing financial statements for trends and fraud risk, and building audit programs—then shows you how to do each of those tasks in minutes using AI. If you prepare tax returns, conduct audits, do financial analysis, or manage accounting teams, you'll see your own workflows throughout the demonstrations.

Do I need to know how to code or have a technical background to get value from this course?

No technical background required. The course starts with plain-English fundamentals about how AI actually works—where its data comes from, why accuracy matters, what a large language model is—then moves straight into hands-on demos in ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot. You'll learn through practical examples like uploading Disney's financial statements and asking AI to spot trends, not through theory or programming.

Will I be able to use these tools at my firm, or will IT block me?

That depends on your firm's policy, which Tommy addresses directly. He shows you that Copilot has enterprise security features turned on by default and is specifically designed for business use, which is why many firms allow it when they restrict other AI platforms. ChatGPT and Gemini require you to manually enable privacy controls—he walks you through exactly where to find those settings. If your firm uses Microsoft 365, you likely already have access to Copilot Pro as part of your subscription.

What will I actually be able to do after this course that I can't do now?

You'll be able to analyze a set of financial statements and identify trends, anomalies, and liquidity risks in minutes instead of hours. You'll be able to rapidly build audit programs for new industries, run fraud detection tests like Benford's Law analysis, extract and summarize key points from lengthy contracts, and draft client communications in specific tones—all by issuing clear prompts to AI platforms. Is this mostly theory, or will I see real examples I can actually use?

This is almost entirely hands-on demonstration. Tommy logs into ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot on screen and shows you step-by-step: analyzing Disney's actual financial statements, running a Benford's Law test on transactional data in Excel, building a PowerPoint presentation from a Word document, and drafting articles in specific styles and word counts. He also shows you the "analyze data" feature built into Excel that most users don't know exists—it's AI that's been there for years.
