How credit passes work
A credit pass is CPE you buy once and spend as you go. Here's everything that happens from the day you buy it to the day you use the last credit.
Good for nearly every course and event. Certain conditions apply: not valid for the Federal Tax Update. Pass terms
From purchase to certificate
Choose 10, 20 or 40 credits. They're in your account the moment the order is placed, ready to spend.
Put courses in your cart, today or any time in the next 12 months. A course costs its CPE hours: a two-hour webinar is two credits.
Checkout uses your credits for every course that takes them, so there's nothing to pay.
Join the live webinar or event, or watch the replay. Your certificate is issued as it is for any other purchase.
The details
A pass pays for the order you buy it with
Put a pass and a course in the same cart and the pass pays for the course. You're charged for the pass alone and keep the rest of its credits.
12 months to use your credits
Credits expire 12 months after you buy them. If you hold more than one pass, the credits that expire soonest are spent first.
Nearly everything, with one big exception
Live webinars, replays and events all take credits. The Federal Tax Update does not: its conference, broadcasts, days and bundles are paid by card only.
A few credits short?
When your credits already cover most of an order, checkout offers the few you're missing rather than charging a whole course to your card.
Your credits, your seat
Credits pay for the seat of the person who holds them. Colleagues need their own pass, or see Corporate & Group CPE for a team.
Always know your balance
Under Credits in your account: what's left, when each credit expires, and every credit you've spent.
Why buy a pass?
Pays for today's order
Buy a pass with your course and the pass pays for it at checkout. Every credit left over is ready for your next one.
Spend this year's budget
Buy now and you have 12 months from purchase to use the credits. Put this year's training budget to work and take the courses next year.
One receipt
One purchase is far easier to expense, or to get reimbursed for, than a year of separate course orders.
Live or on demand, one balance
Live webinars, replays and events all take credits, so you can mix whatever fits each week.
Less per credit as you go up
The bigger the pass, the less each credit costs. The 40-Credit Pass is our lowest price per credit.
Always know where you stand
Your balance and every credit's expiry date are under Credits in your account. No spreadsheets.

Common questions
Can I use a pass for the Federal Tax Update?
No. The Federal Tax Update, including its conference, broadcasts, days and bundles, is paid by card only. Your pass is good for nearly everything else we sell.
What can I spend the credits on?
Any CPE Today course or event that takes credits: live webinars, replays and events. A course costs its CPE hours, so a two-credit course spends two credits. A few programs, such as the Federal Tax Update, are sold for money only and can't be paid with credits.
How long do my credits last?
12 months from the day you buy the pass. Your balance, and when each credit expires, is under Credits in your account.
Can the pass pay for the course I'm buying today?
Yes. Put a pass and a course in the same cart and the pass pays for the course at checkout. You pay for the pass and keep the rest of its credits.
What if I'm a few credits short?
When your credits already cover most of an order, checkout offers the few you're missing rather than charging a whole course to your card.
Can I use my credits for a colleague?
Credits belong to the person who bought them and pay for that person's own seat. Anyone else attending needs their own seat or their own pass. Training a team? See Corporate & Group CPE.
Can I buy more than one pass?
Yes. Credits from every pass add to one balance, and the credits that expire soonest are spent first.
Ready when you are. Buy a pass now and spend it over the next 12 months.
